A BRIEF EVALUATION FOR THE YEAR 2022
The experiences we gained during the pandemic process shed light on us in drawing our roadmap for 2022. The experienced global inflation and purchasing power will determine the course of the market.

Since our product group is not aimed at the end consumer, the intervention in this process may not be quick, but our product development studies, which will directly address the end consumer from the products we produce as a company, continue rapidly. This brings us one step closer to e-trade. Accelerating this process and creating markets in this field will be our biggest work for 2022.

THE EFFECT OF THE FAIRS CANCELED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC ON OUR BUSINESS RELATIONS
The cancellation of the fairs eliminates the opportunity for the industry and its buyers to come together. This creates difficulties for us in presenting newly created collections. If there is no problem related to health and pandemic and the HOMETEX fair, which will be held in Türkiye in May, can be held, it will be the first organization where the sector and buyers will meet at the end of three years. We are pretty excited for this.

The cancellation of the Heimtextil fair has led us to moves towards reaching customers directly. With the COVID-19 vaccine making travel opportunities easier, our sales team is planning a lot of customer visits between February and May 2022.

In addition, our online meetings with our customers continue. We have set up a professional video conference room in our company where we can conduct online meetings. Our customer meetings can now be done online here.

EFFECTS OF TODAY’S ECONOMIC CONDITIONS ON CUSTOMER RELATIONS
The economic conditions we are in affect our industry deeply, as it does in all other industries. The sudden fluctuations in the exchange rate affect the costs of our customers who produce and sell for the domestic market, although our products, whose raw materials are completely dependent on currency, do not change on a foreign currency basis. In this case, it is normal for customers to take a stationary position. In the same way, the sales of our customers as final products have also stagnated. I think that when the market conditions stabilize, it will move again.

Our International customers also have different factors. There is an imbalance due to the expansion of the stock caused by the continuation of the pandemic process in Europe, the failure of the requested orders to arrive on time due to the logistics process problems experienced in overseas countries, or the arrival of all stocks at the same time at a certain time. Although the raw material price increases in the world in 2021 affected the markets, the logistics crisis with the Far East turned its directions to our country. We are making preparations to take advantage of this opportunity, but the pandemic process creates some stagnant positions. I am of the opinion that all these will affect us positively in terms of foreign sales in 2022.

WE COMPLETED OUR GRS, GOTS AND OCS AUDIT.
In the past days, we conducted GRS (Global Recycled Standard) document renewal and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) & OCS (Organic Content Standard) first audits. As a result of our successful audits, we were entitled to receive certificate renewal for GRS and certificate for GOTS and OCS.

GRS is an international, voluntary product standard that determines the chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical limitations, as well as third-party certification requirements of the recycled content. We manufacture products containing 100% Recycled Post-Consumer Polyester within the scope of the Global Recycled Standard.

GOTS is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. This standard covers the production, processing, packaging, labeling, trade and distribution of all textile products manufactured from at least 70% certified organic natural fibers. We produce products containing 100% Organic Cotton within the scope of GOTS.

OCS purpose is to provide trust in organic ingredient claims. This standard verifies the amount and presence of organic material in the end product. It allows the accredited third party certification body to transparently, consistently, comprehensively, independently evaluate and verify the organic material content claims in products.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY TOSUNOGLU TEXTILE FAMILY
As Tosunoğlu Tekstil, we believe that our resources are valuable for us and should be used in the most effective way. Time, human, manpower, relationships, money, energy and nature are limited resources that won’t be wasted for us . We do not accept activities and people that do not create value for the customer, company, employees, society and waste resources as a company. We consider everything that the customer does not pay for as waste, and in this direction, we carry out activities and studies that eliminate waste, which we will talk about in detail in our next bulletin.

Our company, which has been operating on Denizli İzmir Road since 1986, moved to its Modern Factory in Denizli Organized Industrial Zone. We started to work with a high motivation in our new factory, which has a total area of 70,000 square meters, 22,000 square meters of which is closed, and in our modern administrative offices. We continue to grow and develop with our newly commissioned machinery parks. Our management, which believes that sustainable development is not only financial power or machine park power, focuses on human resources and lean production techniques and carries out its efforts to become an agile company.

THE INSTITUTIONALIZATION JOURNEY OF TOSUNOGLU TEXTILE
The pandemic was one of the 10 disasters that would ultimately befall us. We did not panic. We turned this pandemic period into an opportunity to improve our Institutionalization Journey and Systematicism. We searched for answers to 4 questions in our institutionalization journey. Our first question was "Where are we?" In this direction, we held the Search for Perfection Meeting with a wide participation. Then, we measured our employee satisfaction and interdepartmental satisfaction, our leadership approach and customer satisfaction with 360 Degrees Leadership Feedback Inventory. Because we believe that things that cannot be measured cannot be managed. Then we performed function analysis, process analysis and business analysis.

Our second question was "Where do we want to be?" In this direction, we determined the Vision,Mission,Basic Values and Ethical Principels,which were shared with wide participation ,and Clarified the Elements of Corporate Culture.

Our Vision: To be the color of generations ,adding value to people’s souls and ecological cycle by producing utopian thoughts in every field that is life.

Our Mission: For those who want to reflect pleasure and comfort in different living spaces, we blend ecological and technological textile products with original design and universal trends, and produce them with the principle of sustainability with our competent employees.

We have established management policies, strategic goals, critical success factors and company goals in line with the determined corporate culture elements.

Our third question was "How do we get where we want to be?" First of all,the Company Organization had to be clarified. Our company which determines the organization of the future, and clarified the job descriptions. We have commissioned the human resources competence dictionary, job evaluation, wage system, selection and placement, training management, career management system into an integrated manner. We established the Budget Management System for our entire company.

Our 4th Question was “How Do We Track Our Success and Performance and Make it Sustainable”. In this direction, we have implemented a target and competency-based performance evaluation system that can work in integration with all HR Processes we have established. We narrowed the targets down to individuals. We clarified our meeting and reporting system, our social rights and our authorization limit system. We have determined all our human resources regulations and human resources activity calendar, including the honoring and rewarding systematic, and put them into practice by paying attention to the pandemic conditions.
